Punt Now Available The punt is now on the water. Punt season will end around the start of October.

The MCR has a punt available for use during the summer season. The punt is named “Mrs Brown” after the MCR’s butler for many years. It’s an unusually long punt capable of holding 6 medium-sized people. The punt is completely free for members of the MCR.

To book the punt, select a time in the booking system below. Times are listed in 30 minute increments but your booking will be for 1 hour. Please note that you can book the punt for 1 or 2 hours from sunrise to sunset in the summer months, but make sure to leave enough time to return the punt before the next group need it.

Take your booking confirmation email and bodcard to Lady Margaret Hall Porters Lodge (right next door to NSE) where you will be given the necessary keys and relevant information.

When you’re finished, please return all the equipment (locker 5) and ensure the punt is tied up at both ends and locked. Our spot up the channel is marked with a laminated page, please fasten the punt at this point and nowhere else on the channel.

Lady Margaret Hall have allowed us to moor in their channel, so please respect their facilities and equipment.

Here are some punting instructions if you need guidance:

You must print out the booking confirmation that will be emailed to you and bring this along to Lady Margaret Hall Lodge. The Porters will provide the necessary keys and instructions.

Please respect your fellow MCR members and return the punt on time, as successive bookings will not be honoured until the punt has been returned.
