My name is Leonor, and I am the Social Secretary for the MCR in 2025–2026. I am in the fourth (and final!) year of my DPhil in the English Department, specialising in the Victorian strand. My research focuses on Thomas Hardy’s ecological consciousness as expressed through both his writing and his art.

My name is Maeve Hagerty and I’m a Social Secretary for the MCR. I’m in the second year of an MPhil in Modern British History, specializing in Irish history. My dissertation focuses on how 20th century folklore collections in Ireland discuss and remember witchcraft. Please talk to me about witches (or anything else)!
